The last seed decides extra turns and captures

Pick a nonempty pit on your side and distribute its seeds one at a time along the board, including your own store but skipping the opponent’s. Ending in your store gives another turn. Count the seeds and the route before choosing a pit rather than choosing only the largest pile.

If the last seed lands in a previously empty pit on your own side and the opposite pit contains seeds, this Kalah variant captures that opposite pile and your last seed into your store. Landing opposite an empty pit does not produce that capture. Watch the opponent’s corresponding pits when planning an extra turn.

An empty side ends the round

When either player’s six pits become empty, the remaining seeds on the other side are collected into that side’s store. Compare the two final store totals to determine the winner; equal totals are a draw. Emptying your side is therefore not automatically a win.

How to play

Choose a pit with stones on your side. Drop one stone into each following pit and your own store, skipping your opponent's store. End in your store to play again.
