About the game
A browser adaptation by Zarocer.
Play English checkers against three AI levels, with a friend on one device or in the daily challenge. The board enforces mandatory captures, jump chains and king promotion. Hints, move history, undo and local statistics round out each match.
Controls
Tap a piece, then a highlighted square. Tab and Enter select; arrow keys move around the board.
Do not borrow the rules of another draughts game
This is the English/American checkers variant on an 8 × 8 board. Uncrowned men move and capture diagonally forward; kings can also move and capture backward. Kings do not fly along an entire diagonal as they do in International or Brazilian Draughts.
A capture is compulsory when one is available. Continue every available jump with the same piece, but the game does not require choosing the longest chain among different capturing options. Reaching the promotion row crowns a man and ends that turn, even if its new king powers would permit another jump.
How to play
Red moves first. Move diagonally forward and jump an opposing piece to capture it. If a capture is available, you must take it and complete the chain. Crown a piece to move in both directions. Win when the opponent has no pieces or legal moves.
Modes and local progress
ZAROCER opens this build in English. Progress and records stay in this browser when storage is available. Use native continuation controls after reloading. Clearing site data can remove saves. Pause, Theater and Fullscreen preserve one game instance.
