About the game
A browser adaptation by Zarocer.
A complete two-player cribbage match against the computer, with three difficulty levels, automatic scoring, and a daily challenge. Play on desktop or mobile without signing up.
Controls
Choose two cards for the dealer's crib. Play cards without exceeding 31 and review automatic scoring.
Keep pegging separate from hand counting
During pegging, the running total cannot exceed thirty-one. Reaching fifteen or exactly thirty-one earns two points in this build. A five following a ten-value card makes fifteen; that is a running-count score, not the later score for the complete hand.
After pegging, the game counts each four-card hand with the starter, then the dealer’s crib with the starter. Fifteen combinations, pairs and runs can contribute at that stage. The automatic breakdown helps you see which combination scored rather than requiring you to guess a total.
Choose discards with the crib’s owner in mind
The two cards you discard go into the dealer’s crib. When you deal, you can balance a useful remaining hand against a helpful crib. When the computer deals, the same discarded pair can help your opponent, so the choice changes even if your six cards look similar.
Consider the four cards you keep as well as the two you send away. Preserve useful fifteen combinations and connected ranks, then compare their score after the starter is revealed. The first player to reach 121 wins; automatic scoring does not make every discard equally valuable.
How to play
Each player receives six cards. Choose two for the dealer's crib. Take turns playing your four cards without exceeding 31. Then count both hands and the crib with the starter card. First to 121 points wins.
