Foundations start at the dealt rank and wrap

The first foundation card sets the base rank for all four suits. If the deal starts with a seven, each suit foundation starts at seven, continues upward through king and ace, then finishes at six. Starting every suit with an ace would apply the wrong rule to this Canfield board.

Tableau sequences descend in alternating colors and can wrap from ace to king. The reserve’s exposed card and the top waste card provide other sources. Look for a legal reserve move before drawing again, because clearing the reserve changes what empty columns can do.

The reserve controls empty columns

While reserve cards remain, an emptied tableau column is filled automatically from the reserve. It is not a free parking space for any other card. Once the reserve is empty, a legal card or ordered sequence can use an empty column.

The stock turns up to three cards into the waste, and only its exposed top card is available. When the stock is empty, this edition recycles the waste without a pass limit. A new pass can expose useful cards in a different situation, but it does not undo the choices already made on the tableau.

How to play

Select a visible card, then tap a foundation or tableau column. Build alternating-color descending runs in the tableau and move same-suit cards up the foundations. Tap the stock to reveal up to three cards.

Canfield is a single-deck solitaire game with a 13-card reserve and four foundations that start at a different rank each deal. This edition adds touch controls, legal hints, undo, and a daily challenge.
