About the game
A browser adaptation by Zarocer.
A good Escoba move is about more than adding numbers. Pick a card from your hand and combine it with table cards to make exactly fifteen. Capturing every table card earns a sweep point. The cards you collect also compete for the most cards, most coins and most sevens, while the seven of coins is worth a point of its own. A card left behind can give your opponent an opportunity on the next turn. This edition uses forty Spanish cards. The large number on each card shows its capture value: a jack is eight, a horse is nine and a king is ten. Scoring uses the majority-of-sevens variant rather than a prime calculation, and tied categories award no point. The in-game rules explain opening sweeps, fresh deals and the final collection of leftover cards. Play a quick round when you have a few minutes, compete in a match to twenty-one or try the daily challenge. Daily players receive the same shuffle for the UTC date and face the same expert opponent. The AI makes its decisions from its own hand and public information, without consulting your hidden cards. A hint can help you learn a legal move; using one makes that daily attempt local only. Mouse, keyboard and touch controls are available. When browser storage is permitted, you can save a game and continue after reloading. Restored games are local attempts. One build includes eleven interface languages and works without an account.
