One deck, several different decisions
A Spanish deck can support meld building, arithmetic captures and point tricks. The deck alone does not determine the rules. Compare the published variants here rather than importing house rules from another table.
Build combinations or capture fifteen
Chinchón uses sets and runs, with specific closing conditions. Escoba de Quince instead combines a hand card with table cards totaling fifteen. The printed capture values make a jack eight, a horse nine and a king ten. This Escoba edition scores the majority of sevens rather than a prime calculation.
A trick is about points and trump
Brisca uses a three-card hand and a 40-card deck. You may play any hand card without following suit. Its two-player variant has no trump exchange or declarations; take more than 60 of the 120 points to win. That rule set is different from melding or clearing the table.
