Choose a board by the decisions it creates

A small board can still demand a different plan every turn. Compare line-building games with territory scoring and forced captures. The collection includes games against the computer and some shared-device modes; the game page states which options actually exist.

Tic Tac Toe asks you to complete three marks on a nine-square board. Gomoku expands the idea to five stones on a fifteen-by-fifteen board. Four in a Row adds gravity: a counter drops into a column, so the square you want may need support beneath it. Blocking one threat can expose another.

The next turn may belong to the same player

Dots & Boxes scores a completed box and grants another turn. A line that looks harmless can hand over several boxes later. Crownline Checkers instead enforces mandatory captures and jump chains: inspect all legal captures before choosing the first highlighted move.

Local two-player does not mean online matchmaking

Some of these games let two people take turns on one device. Their computer levels, daily boards, hints and undo rules differ. Dots & Boxes Daily uses the Hard opponent and disables Undo; do not expect the same assistance in every mode.

Four in a Row. Counters fall to the next free position in a column, unlike the freely selected empty squares in Tic Tac Toe or intersections in Gomoku.
