About the game

A browser adaptation by Zarocer.

Match free tiles across five layouts, three modes and a daily board. A free tile has no tile above it and an open side; flowers match flowers and seasons match seasons.

Check freedom as well as matching symbols

A tile is free only when no remaining tile covers it from a higher layer and at least one horizontal side is open. Seeing its picture is not sufficient. Both tiles in a selected pair must be free, so begin by inspecting the outer edges and top layers of the layout.

Regular tiles match the same suit and value. Any flower can pair with another flower and any season with another season; a flower does not pair with a season. Before removing an available pair, compare which tiles the removal will uncover. Two identical-looking choices can open different parts of the board.

This is a single-player tile-removal puzzle. Its five layouts and native modes do not turn it into the four-player game of drawing, discarding and building a mahjong hand. Use the legal-pair hints and Undo to explore the layout actually displayed.

How to play

Select two matching tiles with nothing above them and at least one open side. Any flower can match another flower; the same applies to seasons. Clear every pair to win.
