Use the category and repeated letter positions

Read the category before guessing and compare the number of spaces with possible words. A correct letter reveals every occurrence in the answer, so a repeated-letter pattern can narrow your next choice. A letter already used is disabled; selecting it again cannot uncover a different position.

Use the positions you have revealed rather than guessing every vowel and then every consonant mechanically. If two candidate words fit, a letter that distinguishes them can provide more information than one they share. Practice categories give that deduction a context.

A hint spends part of the mistake allowance

This edition allows eight mistakes. Hint reveals a remaining letter but also adds one mistake, even though the revealed letter is correct. Compare the remaining allowance with the value of the clue before spending it. A hint can complete the word when it reveals the final missing letter.

Use the native Pause control for a break and return to the same browser for saved progress. A finished Daily word does not become a new word simply by choosing New game; the daily and category-practice controls have different purposes.
