The Curiosity Cabinet
Search illustrated rooms for the objects on your list. Follow the three-room story, try remixed object positions, or attempt a timed daily search. Progress and personal records stay in this browser.

Follow the object list
Each room gives you a list of objects to find in its illustration. Compare the names and symbols in the list with the shapes in the scene, then select the matching object. A found target changes appearance in both places, making it easier to see what remains. Selecting a decorative shape that is not one of your current targets does not complete a target.
The story takes you through the Artist's Atelier, the Glasshouse and the Observatory. Find six targets in each room to finish all eighteen searches. The next room follows automatically once the current list is complete. The illustrated rooms remain the setting throughout the story; this is an observation game rather than a character you move around a map.
Story, Remix and the daily search
Story gives you the three-room sequence. Remix uses the same rooms with rearranged object positions, so remembering the exact location from a previous visit is less useful. Both modes provide a reason to study the scene again without claiming a new collection of rooms.
The daily search selects one room and eight targets. It has a four-minute limit, so pause when you need to leave the game. Its date is based on UTC and can differ from the calendar date where you live. An unfinished daily search is eligible to resume on the same daily date; a new date offers a new selection instead of carrying yesterday's challenge forward.
Explore at a comfortable scale
Overview shows the room at a smaller scale. Explore enlarges the illustration and lets you move through it; on a narrow screen you can swipe across the scene. If a target is hard to distinguish, change the view before spending a hint. The Hint control highlights a remaining target and costs one hundred points.
Click with a mouse or tap a target on a touch screen. Objects in the scene can also receive keyboard focus; press Enter or Space to select a focused object. The controls include native Pause and Restart. Restart asks you to confirm before replacing your current search, while closing a settings or help dialog returns you to the existing room.
Search carefully and keep your progress
Try dividing the illustration into a few areas and comparing each target's outline with the details in that area. Looking methodically can be more useful than selecting many objects quickly. The list is the reference for this particular search: not every object visible in the room is a target.
The game saves unfinished progress and personal records in this browser, separately for its modes. Story and Remix can offer a Continue option when a valid unfinished search exists. Clearing site data or changing browser can remove that progress. There is no cloud account or shared online ranking, and progress saved on the other portals does not automatically appear on ZAROCER.
